Why would we want to be deprived of deep thought?
Why would I want to be told about everything?

In her latest project, Dóra Riederauer explores the impact of digital space on mental health, initiating a dialogue that begins with personal reflection and leads to a common problem. Through a sharp examination of the fading of human values, connections, and abilities in the digital age, Spamlab critically reflects on our dependence on online systems and the deepening silence surrounding their consequences. As algorithms infiltrate our everyday lives, what is left of our ability to discern truth and make decisions that are truly ours?
The installation constellation creates a complex and contradictory space, encouraging visitors to embrace this orderly chaos and make decisions about what they absorb. Each element aims to sell information while simultaneously questioning objectivity, fragmentation of attention, and its effects on mental health and cognitive development. Masking a darker, exploitative system with its vibrant colors, it creates an illusion of clarity within a minimalist aesthetic. The exhibition raises questions about our relationship with the internet and our digital consumption habits: Do we really decide what we consider to be true? How susceptible are we to influence in the world of influencers?
The exhibition is on view until 29 November.
