Join us on Friday, August 15 for the closing event of Toil, Lydia Cornett’s pop-up exhibition, which also marks the farewell of our gallery director, Veronika Molnár.
Program:
4:00–6:00 PM: Regular opening hours
6:00–6.45 PM: Artist talk with Lydia Cornett and evolutionary ecologist Dr. Veronika Bókony.
Moderated by Veronika Molnár, gallery director and curator.
8:00 PM: Farewell toast & DJ set by Klaudia Janusko
Our guest speaker, Dr. Veronika Bókony, is a senior researcher at the Department of Evolutionary Ecology in the Centre for Agricultural Research. During her time in Hungary, Cornett followed and documented Dr. Bókony’s research on sex reversal in frogs. In the talk, Dr. Bókony will share how environmental stressors—such as urbanization, climate change, and pollution—affect animal behavior and physiology, with a special focus on sex determination in amphibians.
