We warmly invite you to our guided tour of Archive of Contact on 16 April at 6 pm. The tour will be led by the exhibition’s curator, Bettina Bence, and the two exhibiting artists, Asztrid Csatlós and Eszter Metzing.

Archive of Contact investigates the trace-making processes of human presence, with particular attention to material, sensory and spatial relationships. The exhibition reinterprets the notion of the trace through the lenses of vulnerability, attention, and care. Not as a residue or fixed imprint, but as an ongoing, relational phenomenon shaped by the interplay between bodies, materials, and time.

Asztrid Csatlós creates installations that function as visual and spatial systems, integrating painterly elements, layered object formations and often audio-visual components. Her use of biodegradable and recycled materials emphasises the mutual processes of transformation between humans and their environment.

Eszter Metzing examines perception, memory, and corporeality through intimate material relations. Working with textiles, latex and glass, she constructs fragile, layered structures that explore psychological states, bodily experience and the instability of identity.
